Senate Vote, Here We Come

Senator Reid hopes to have a vote this Saturday.

I believe that this bill is monstrous--
The cost is tremendous. Mr. Reid's bill imposes new taxes on insurance companies (which will increase our health premiums), drugs and medical devices (which will increase our costs), businesses (which will decrease our wages and/or lead to more firings or less hirings), and incredibly, will divorce Medicare taxes from paying FOR Medicare!
Our Medicare taxes (increased, by the way) will not go to support our Medicare--but go to a general fund--dare I say slush fund--for the federal government to spend.

Again, under Reid's plan, Americans who decide to have health insurance would go to jail! Of course, Mrs. Pelosi thought this was just fine and dandy.

Not only does the Senate plan cover elective abortion, the wording would diminish the conscience rights of those insurers who do not wish to cover abortion.

A public, federally-controlled insurance plan is part of this bill--which would result in most Americans losing their private health care coverage within 5 years.
