Just to remind you, the Cap and Trade is still in the works.
The other moniker for this bill is "Cap and Tax".
Cap and Trade, remember, will tax businesses on their "carbon output". Estimates by the Heritage Foundation show loss of over 2 million jobs by 2035 and, for individual households, an increase in electricity costs of 90% and gasoline costs of 58%. Utility costs are estimated to increase by $829 a year.
"As Obama explained in January 2008 during an interview with the editorial board of the San Francisco Chronicle, 'Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.' "
The gain for all this expense?
Experts agree that the temperature will decrease by 0.2 degrees by 2100.
And all this in face of many scientists agreeing that the earth is in a global cooling phase.
