Recently, Iran was caught...well...lying about having a nuclear site.
Secretary of State Clinton recently went to Russia to appeal for sanctions to curb Iran's nuclear ambitions.
Unfortunately, Clinton was told "no way". Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated, "We are convinced that threats, sanctions, and threats of pressure in the present situation are counter-productive."
Now Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has added his "No" to sanctions on Iran.
Many speculate that the Obama Administration decided to forgo the Czech/Polish missile defense system as an enticement for Russia to side with the United States against Iran. If this is so, it didn't work out as planned!
China has added its own "No" to sanctions in the last few days.
The recent talks in Geneva with the UN Security Council didn't get too far, not surprising after Iran stated that it didn't intend to talk about its nuclear program and defended its nuclear "rights".

Others feel that the Geneva talks added legitimacy to to Iran's President Ahmadinejad, who reputedly stole the elections and then (for real) shot his own people who protested the voting results.
All in all, I'd say Iran--1, United States--0.
