The health insurance industry came out today with estimates of the cost of the current health care reform plans.
These estimates were made by the accounting firm, PricewaterhouseCoopers.
"The report says that the cost of the average family coverage, now $12,300, will rise to $18,400 in 2016 under current law and to $21,300 if the Senate bill is adopted."
Similarly, individual plans will cost more.
This report also points out that new taxes and fees on insurance companies will result in higher premiums for us.
And the billions and billions of dollars cut from Medicare, as proposed in the Baucus bill, would increase out-of-pocket costs to seniors.
