Another Faux-Pas

President and Mrs. Obama have been busy giving speeches about health care reform.
Both, this past week, have referred to the story of their daughter, Sasha, who unfortunately became very ill when she was 3 or 4 months old.
Mrs. Obama tells how sick Sasha was, but blessedly, was diagnosed quickly as NOT having meningitis (and recovered fully), according to the New York Times--
President Obama also gives this story, citing that Sasha DID have meningitis--http://www.whitehouse.gov/the_press_office/Remarks-by-the-President-on-Health-Insurance-Reform/

A short comment--
Having worked in hospitals and emergency 20 years ago, I know that children suspected to have meningitis are considered to be emergencies. Any child would be seen quickly and treatment begun promptly. That's just how it is.
