Arizona Continued....Oh, the Irony of It All....


A few more tidbits about the Arizona immigration law:
1. It's very similar to California's immigration law (who'd have thunk it?) which also provides for verifying the legal status of anyone who is arrested and subsequently suspected of being an illegal alien:
2. Current federal policy supports the Arizona immigration law, allowing local law enforcers to unhold federal immigration laws:
3. Moreover, federal officials just might NOT enforce federal immigration laws for illegal immigrants caught in Arizona (so says the assistant secretary for Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement):
but it's okay to step up enforcement of the immigration laws in Illinois:
4. Lastly, immigration laws were used to arrest suspects thought to have helped in the attempted Times Square bombing:
