DISCLOSE Act Passes House Today

Today the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives voted to pass the DISCLOSE Act 219-206. Thirty-six Democrats voted against the bill, and two Republicans (Castle-R-Delaware and Cao-R-Louisisana) voted for the bill.

This bill counters the Supreme Court decision that the McCain-Feingold provisions restricting political free speech by businesses, unions and other groups during certain times in election years was unconstitutional.

Fearing that conservatives would use their free speech, as guaranteed by the First Amendment of our Constitution, Democrats have muzzled free speech.

Except if you are the National Rifle Association, labor unions, or some other special group. Then you get to use your free speech.

CONGRESS IS DECIDING WHO GETS TO HAVE FREE SPEECH RIGHTS.
Call your Senator now and oppose the DISCLOSE Act.
